Reluctant rare-books owner Jeffrey Brief is faced with the imminent loss of his crucial health insurance. Brief unwittingly unravels a dark conspiracy, branding citizens of a lower consumer asset value as ‘host subjects’, including himself and his daughter. What they are hosting within themselves is a mystery, but it will cost them their lives. Brief’s desperation to survive will force him to join a militant rebel group + embark on an adventure of soul-shredding moral choices, escape, love, betrayal + loss, unwittingly unraveling an unbearable crime whilst ever forced to fight against the single thing that can save him + his daughter, the tenant inside him.

Marauder Film combines award winning director Grzegorz Jonkajtys (‘The Ark’, Cannes Film Festival – Official Selection, SIGGRAPH 2007 – Best of Show) + producer/writer Bastiaan Koch (Visual Effects: ‘Transformers 2 & 3′, ‘ Rango’, ‘Pacific Rim’) to present ‘The 3rd Letter’.

‘The 3rd Letter’ is the realization of a distinctive dystopian vision where humans utterly depend on a health-care system to withstand the deteriorating climate. However, this is a carefully constructed harvest that Brief will be be the first to truly uncover. Set against a polluted megalopolis world, the adventure of Jeffrey Brief unfolds.

The 3rd Letter apartment‘The 3rd Letter’ has to date won ‘Best Director’ for over 1200 short films submitted to HollyShorts Film Festival in L.A. + won ‘Best in Show’, ‘Best Drama’ from Nevada City Film Festival, ‘Best in Show’ at Lewiston-Auburn Film Festival + ‘Best Short in Show’, ‘Best Director’ & ‘Best VFX’ at the Los Angeles (New Wave) international Film Festival. The film continues to screen + gain selections across the globe weekly.
